BIOGS:

VICKI FEAVER
taught creative writing at University College, Chichester, where she is now Emeritus Professor. She has published three collections of poetry, Close Relatives (Secker 1981), The Handless Maiden (Cape 1994,) and The Book of Blood (Cape 2006), the last two short-listed for the Forward Prize Best Collection. The Book of Blood was also shortlisted for the 2006 Costa Poetry Book Award. Her poem 'Judith' is a past winner of the Forward Prize for Best Single Poem.

DOUGLAS DUNN
is a major Scottish poet, editor and critic who was the recipient of the 2013 Queen's Gold Medal for Poetry and awarded an OBE in 2003 (for services to literature). Author of over ten collections of poetry, he has also edited several anthologies and was Professor of the School of English at the University of St Andrews from 1991 to 2008.

CLAIRE ASKEW
has won several awards for her poetry, including the inaugural International Salt Prize for Poetry; she was also runner up in the inaugural Edwin Morgan Poetry Award. In 2013, she completed a PhD in Creative Writing and Contemporary Women's Poetry with the University of Edinburgh. Her first poetry collection, This changes things, is forthcoming from Bloodaxe Books in 2016.

ALASDAIR GRAY
is an acclaimed author and celebrated artist, described by Will Self as 'a creative polymath with an integrated politico-philosophic vision'. Gray is most famous for his novel Lanark: A Life in Four Books, written over a span of thirty years and hailed by the Guardian as 'one of the landmarks of 20th century fiction'. His short stories and poems are also widely published and much celebrated throughout Scotland and beyond.

FINDLAY NAPIER
is one of the most highly-regarded performers and creative forces on the Scottish music scene  thoroughly active and truly energised with a heart-warming zing. Moving through folk, roots and acoustic, Findlay is a Celtic Connections veteran; his most recent album VIP was held in high critical regard. A regular collaborator with Karine Polwart, he recently toured with Eddi Reader.

GERRY CAMBRIDGE
is a poet, essayist, and the founder-editor of The Dark Horse. His most recent book of poems, Notes for Lighting a Fire (HappenStance Press, 2012) was shortlisted in the poetry section for the Scottish Book of the Year Award 2013. Also known as a typesetter & designer, his The Printed Snow: On Typesetting Poetry, is forthcoming from HappenStance Press.
