Seattle Counseling Service, founded in 1969, provides mental health counseling and chemical dependency treatment to the LGBTQ communities.

Seattle Counseling Service is a community resource that advocates, educates and serves to advance the social well being and mental health of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender communities.

Services:
Seattle Counseling Service offers comprehensive mental health care and chemical dependency treatment tailored to the needs of GLBT communities. Our programs include: Mental Health Counseling, Addiction Services, Project NEON (harm reduction and recovery program), Psychiatric & Medication Management, SHIFT -A Peer Recovery Network, Women OUT, Consultation & Education, and Masters Level Internship Program

History:
Seattle Counseling Service was founded in 1969 as a grassroots, volunteer-driven "help" line and drop in center. As the first agency of its kind dedicated specifically to the needs of the LGBT communities, Seattle Counseling Service has pioneered service by and for our community. Today we offer high-quality professional services that are responsive to community needs.
