Sara Milonovich and Greg Anderson with Leo Traversa and Greg Holloway
Sara is an extraordinary fiddler, singer, and tunesmith who has performed folk, bluegrass, Celtic, and Appalachian music on stage since she was four years old. For the past several years she has worked with The Cathie Ryan Band and become an in-demand session player, with her fiddling showing up on numerous contemporary folk albums, including Richard Shindell's "South of Delia". Her long-time musical partner, guitarist Greg Anderson, co-founded the acclaimed Celtic-fusion group Whirligig. Currently with The Eileen Ivers Band, he has also performed and recorded with Susan McKeown, The Klezmatics, Cathie Ryan, and Doctor Nerve, among others. Together they play a vibrant mix of contemporary and traditional songs and tunes from across the musical spectrum, incorporating eclectic flavors from around the globe, along with soulful compositions of their own. Tonight Greg and Sara will be joined by Leo Traversa on bass and Steve Holloway (Solas, Jill Sobule, Riverdance) on drums and percussion.
