Callen Sisters
Musically, it's the unusual addition of concert harp that has lent The Callen Sisters an original sound, a lightness of touch, and an ethereal beauty that sometimes masks the darker subject matter of their lyrics. Often compared to Tori Amos and Fiona Apple, their lyrics speak with raw honesty of the tumultuous path they've travelled. Though they look and sound almost like twins, each sister actually brings a unique style to the duo. Jessa, 27, is a classically trained harpist with a flair for the ethereal. Beth, 25, is an edgy folk-rock guitarist. The combined product is pure musical revelry. Tonight they are celebrating the release of their second full-length album, No Shelter.
