Carsie Blanton is a "Philadelphia treasure" (Philadelphia Daily News) whose quirky, deceptively light songs are influenced by heroes such as Nina Simone, Mary Oliver, John Prine, and Billie Holiday. She grew up in rural Virginia and landed in Philadelphia in fall of 2006. Since then, her soulful, playful, intelligent music has put her on stage with Amos Lee, Joan Osborne, The Weepies, and many others. "Carsie Blanton is a rare talent as a modern songwriter. Her sly wit and urbane imagery reminds me of a folky, female Cole Porter." -John Oates (of Hall & Oates) ///
"Paradise found…the way his voice navigates the songs will take its own tug on your heart."
-The New York Daily News
Milton, the modern-day troubadour with the distinctive, deep voice and one-name moniker, is the leader of a lively, rootsy collective known for their soul-stirring live shows. He's a tall, bookish optimist who has developed a grassroots following for the warmth and spontaneity of his live shows, and a set list that includes traditional folk, blues and country songs with old time harmonies. Earning comparisons to many of his heroes—Van Morrison, Nick Lowe, The Band—singer-songwriter Milton has distinguished himself with his unique voice and lyrics, and a compelling mix of grit and grammar. "He has the pitch and rhythm to carry the day, and his sophisticated lyrics keep listeners coming back for more."
