Dave Williams - Prufrock & Me
What do you really know about someone that you see on stage?
I've been a professional stand-up comedian for 15 years and I still don't know how that happened. Growing up I was painfully shy, solitary, and under the surface I probably still am.
In his twenties T S Eliot wrote The Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock about just such a man. Ever since I studied it at school it's been a kind of soundtrack to my life.
In this show I put joking aside and talk about shyness, loneliness, performing, and this beautiful poem.
