Rhode Island Wool and Fiber Festival
The art of working with natural fibers will take center stage at the Rhode Island Wool and Fiber Festival at Coggeshall Farm Museum on Saturday, May 16. Against a backdrop of a working 18th century farm, artisans, vendors and producers of wool and natural fibers from across the Northeast will come together for a day of public celebration and exhibition.
During the Festival, costumed interpreters mingle with visitors as they explore the 1799 farmhouse and outbuildings, observe craft demonstrations, purchase handcrafted items and natural fibers, and watch a master sheep shearer at work on Coggeshall's own Gulf Coast Natives. Handcrafted local foods, old-fashioned games and acoustic music complete the scene.
