GIRL OF DIAMOND MOUNTAIN
This dramatic 14-song cycle chronicles the healing journey of an innocent child from parental neglect and subsequent sexual abuse by her uncle through a young adulthood wild and distorted by shame before finding a degree of peace through love and spiritual growth. The work was created and will be performed by distinguished New York composer CARMAN MOORE keyboardist and noted Danish actress and song writer LOTTE ARNSBJERG singer at venerable West Park Presbyterian, where it was premiered a year ago and performed several times since, intermittent with performances in Denmark, all to standing ovations. Adding tremendously are projected visuals by Caterina Bertolotto, who has created for Broadway's Julie Taymor, and dance by Kiori Kawai. Each performance is followed by lively audience discussion.
