The Miami Dade College (MDC) Museum of Art + Design presents An Evening with Las Hermanas Peláez , a twilight engagement benefiting the MDC Museum of Art + Design featuring sisters Ana Sofía and Carmen Peláez. The fundraising event includes an intimate book talk and cuisine pairing by food writer Ana Sofía Peláez author of The Cuban Table, A Celebration of Food, Flavors and History, (St. Martin's Press) followed by a ferociously comic and moving selection of scenes from the one-person play, RUM & COKE by actor, director and playwright Carmen Peláez. This one-night-only event will take place on Wednesday, May 6th from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Museum located within the College's historic Freedom Tower. Tickets are $100 per person / $75 for MOA+D members and the event is limited to 150 guests. Each guest will receive a signed copy of The Cuban Table.
