Argus Eyes Presents Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party
The Wild Party tells the story of one wild evening in a Manhattan apartment shared by Queenie and Burrs, a vaudeville dancer and a vaudeville clown.
In a relationship marked by vicious behavior and recklessness , they decide to throw a party to end all parties. As the guests arrive, we meet an assortment of people living on the edge, including a pair of twin musicians, a dancer newly missing his tongue, and a sexually starved older woman on the hunt for fresh blood.
Queenie and Burrs set out to make each other jealous, but things shift when Queenie begins to fall in love with her conquest, a mysterious man named Mr. Black, brought along by the conniving Kate, who sets out to claim Burrs as her own.
As the moonshine pours and the party grows more and more wild, only one will move out into a brighter world, although not necessarily a brighter future, leaving a slew of unconscious revelers behind them.
