THE ART OF BURIAL is a 2 hour fantasy burial workshop facilitated by Carrie Ahern limited to 7 participants. Each participant imagines their fantasy burial and has it enacted on them. It focuses attention around the taboo subject of death and invites connection and pleasure to communal ritual and our personal preferences. NO DANCE OR MOVEMENT EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED TO PARTICIPATE.

What's "The Art of the Burial"?
The Art of Burial will be facilitated by dancer & choreographer Carrie Ahern. Carrie will ask participants to imagine their own burial as if you are alive. What does your body want? This burial is not about any real scenario but is open to your imagination. What does your burial feel like, look like, sound like, smell like? What is its environment, its setting? After writing their burial wishes down, each person will state their wishes out loud. Finally, Carrie will lead the other participants in the room to "enact" each person's burial for them while they themselves are completely passive. You should come in comfortable clothes and bring a notebook. No dance or movement experience is needed to participate. For more info on Carrie Ahern's work www.carrieahern.com
