Jazz-A-F!RE - March 2015
Dear Friends,
We invite you to join us and dance the March blues away with a hot session of Jazz-A-F!RE, Sunday, March 29, 2015 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm in Memphis Sounds, located at 22 North Third Street, downstairs from the EconoLodge Hotel. For the stair-challenged there is a ramp off the parking garage north entrance on Court Street.
You will experience the finest in straight-ahead jazz music hosted by the Memphis Black Arts Alliance's FireHouse Community Arts Center while you enjoy bar & food service from Memphis Sounds Grill.
This month's Jazz-A-F!RE will be hosted by the incomparable Cequita "Monique" McKinney and will feature FireHouse Academy professional music faculty Lance Thompson (guitar) and Kent Suggs (bass), as well as members of the Prime Cut Band Audie Smith (piano) and Andre' Holman (drums).
Amateur and professional jazz musicians and singers are invited to BYOI (Bring Your Own Instrument) and sit in and jam with the musicians during the final hour.
Admission is a mere $12.00 at the door, and advance tickets are discounted to $10.00 at Brown Paper Tickets.
