Shooglenifty 25th Anniversary Party + Album Launch
It's proving to be a bumper year for Shooglenifty as they celebrate their 25th Anniversary, and launch their long-awaited 7th studio album, The Untied Knot. This gig is going to be a massive party to celebrate their quarter century, and will be your first chance to get your hands on this very special album in CD form.
The location is significant also. La Belle Angele in Hastie's Close, Edinburgh was the scene of the Shoogles' first ever residency, a regular event that became the stuff of legend. The first La Belle burned down in the fire of 2002, but recently came alive again making this a double celebration.
So join us as we celebrate in style with Shooglenifty in cracking form, and finish the night with key Shoogle collaborator DJ Dolphin Boy. What are you waiting for!
The album cover (see left) was designed by 'Scotland's greatest living artist' John Byrne RSA.
Doors open at 10pm so come and hang out with us before the gig. And we have an optional dress code of 'inspired' by the John Byrne album cover, so look out those 1950s threads ...
