The Rubens Salles Quartet
RUBENS SALLES is one of the most prominent Brazilian musicians of his generation. Rubens has graduated with honors at the New England Conservatory in Boston where he achieved his Master of Music in Contemporary Improvisation (with Distinction), being one of a few Brazilians to do so in such course. Prior to that Rubens pursued a Professional Diploma in Professional Music at Berklee College of Music, also completing the course with honors (Cum Laude). Rubens holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Classical Piano from FAAM, Brazil. Rubens has recently released his newest album, 'Liquid Gravity', recorded in New York, a mix of Brazilian, Jazz and Contemporary Classical music. His debut album, 'Munderno', released in Brazil, was highly appraised as a masterpiece of Jazz, Samba, Brazilian, African and Indian rhythms.
Rubens Salles Quartet includes Leco Reis on bass, Alex Kautz on drums and Michel Gentile on flute. Special appearance by American French horn player and jazz legend John Clark.
