JAZZ IT UP Music Series @ Sorrento Restaurant with Rob Paparozzi & Friends
New Jersey's hot jazz and blues music concert event welcomes you to Jazz It Up on the last Wednesday of every month at Sorrento Italian Restaurant, located at 631 Central Avenue, Westfield, NJ just one mile from GSP exit # 135. The music series continues on Wednesday,November 24, 2010 at 7pm with a special holiday concert with the extraordinary talents of blues frontman Rob Paparozzi and his guest artists.
New Jersey-based and Grammy-nominated frontman, singer, & harmonica player Rob Paparozzi has been a blues performer since 1967. But Rob is far from being strictly a blues musician. In fact, he's at home playing a wide range of music, ranging from rock to blues to jazz to pop. This versatility is reflected in the long and remarkably diverse list of major artists Rob has worked with, including B.B.King, Dr. John, Bruce Springsteen, Whitney Houston, Carole King, Roberta Flack, Culture Club, Cyndi Lauper, Randy Newman, Jimmy McGriff, and James Galway.
Rob toured the world with the "Original Blues Brothers Band", featuring guitar legend Steve Cropper and special guest Eddie Floyd from 2000 to 2007. Since 2005 to present Rob is the Frontman-Singer for the legendary music group "Blood Sweat and Tears"
Rob's Broadway, movie, and television credits are also extensive, including: shows Big River and The Will Rogers Follies; films Flirting With Disaster and Ride; TV programs the Bill Cosby Show, CBS Early Show and the David Letterman Show, appearances in 2006 with Dolly Parton and George Jones on Conan O'Brien and David Letterman's LATE SHOW. TV Commercials and jingles for Scotch 3M BLUE tape, KFC, Pizza Hut, Maxwell House, Wendy's, Lincoln Mercury, Stouffers, Dodge, Ford, Coke, Pepsi, Dominos, Tylenol, etc. The bottom line is, even if you haven't heard of Rob Paparozzi before, you've probably heard and enjoyed his work!
The ticket price of $25 includes the concert, a delicious choice of Music Menu entree, a special dessert and a beverage. BYOB is welcome. Showtime is from 7pm to 9pm. Seating and food service for the concert experience starts at 6pm. The venue, home of the original tomato pizza pie and more, offers the perfect ambience for a relaxing evening of good food and drink, good friends and listening pleasure.
