The 2015 residencies are:
Groove Aesthetics: because she said so Musical performances: March 13 &14 at 8pm Because she said so is an exploration of storytelling across diverse musical genres. The interdisciplinary performance, directed by classically trained vocalist Anqwenique Wingfield, combines jazz, classical music, media, dance, and poetry readings by a diverse group of women artists to celebrate the spirit of collaboration.
Cupid's Brand directed by Andrew Huntley Theatrical Performances: March 20 & 21 at 8pm Cupid's Brand is a new one act play which reinvents Shakespeare's sonnets in order to tell a fresh love story in a contemporary fashion. Created by Andrew Huntley, this raw, intimate production brings some of the Bard's most beautiful poetry to life.
Detritus, Vestige, and Dross Performances: March 27 & 28 at 8pm Detritus, Vestige, and Dross is an exciting new piece of performance art that explores what we try to rid ourselves of. Through the use of dance, sound, and text, creator Moriah Ella Mason will transform Future Tenant's space to a geography of rubbish and ruin.
