SOLD OUT! TMIdol: The Office

SOLD OUT! TMI Project will hold a special edition of its T.M.I.dol story slam, this time at its brand new office in Kingston. The Ulster County Chamber of Commerce will perform their ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the occasion. The event will be emceed by the organization's co-founder, comic and performer Julie Novak. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Complimentary wine and treats will be served.

For this special T.M.I.dol story slamalso an office warming party to celebrate the new spacesome of the area's best storytellers will share with us, in five minutes or less, stories reflecting their views of their time spent in an Office. All readers have to include "You're fired!", "You're hired," or "I quit!".

It's a contest. The audience chooses the winner who will receive a gift certificate from Diego's in Kingston, NY.

T.M.I.dol is TMI Project's popular story slam series (think TMI meets American Idol), in which readers compete by telling short, true stories from their own experiences, on a particular theme. Readers are given guidelines for creating a story, but unlike with the monologues produced for our stage shows, we do not do any work on these, nor even see the stories beforehand.

TMI Project is a non-profit organization which offers memoir writing workshops that culminate in performances and/or publication. Through its Community Outreach Initiative, TMI Project brings distinct versions of its workshops to the incarcerated, at-risk teens, cancer patients, survivors of domestic violence, military veterans, LBGTQ teens, and other populations where people don't often get to tell their stories or be heard.
