Water World: The Lives and Habits of Aquatic Insects
Find out why ponds, streams, lakes, rivers and vernal pools are important to understanding the health of our ecosystems, in this daylong exploration with Frederique Lavoipierre, Director of the SSU Entomology Education and Outreach Program.
An introductory lecture will be followed by a trip to Pepperwoods ponds and streams. Returning to the lab, we take a look through the revealing lens of the microscope to make fascinating discoveries about the world of aquatic invertebrates.
