A Special Event with Preservation Chicago
Preservation Chicago and New Leaf Theatre Present "In the Dining Room" on November 10th at the historic Glessner House.
The reception begins at 6:30pm with the reading beginning promptly at 7:30pm in the historic dining room of the Glessner House.
Tickets are $45 and include a wine and cheese reception, a special reading by New Leaf Theatre of A. R. Gurney, "The Dining Room", and a one-year membership to Preservation Chicago (one-year renewals for exisiting members.)
"The Dining Room" is a comedy of manners consisting of vignettes from different households. Each story is focused around a different family during a different time period who have in their possession the same dining room set, manufactured in 1898.
The Glessner House is both a National Historic Landmark and a city landmark. It was designed by noted American architect Henry Hobson Richardson and completed in 1887.
