Lynn O'Brien & Steven Hobert in Concert
Lynn O'Brien and Steve Hobert's inventive and big-hearted music has been exploding into the Twin Cities with dazzling performances at the State Theater, The Cedar Cultural Center and Powderhorn Porch Fest. They're returning full-force, singing, play guitar/ukulele/piano/accordion and are joined by bassist Kevin Rowe with even more groove, grit and grin.
Lynn and Steve pour imagination, laughter and mastery into music that leaps from spontaneous, playful arrangements from the American songbook to funk, folk, Motown and heartfelt originals. "Full of play, bigheartedness and inventiveness," they are constantly reinventing themselves in every moment. Just as listeners find themselves leaning in, wide-eyed to hear the most subtle nuanced blending of voices and keys, out pops whoops, hollers, swaying and even singing from the crowd!
