Underground Comedy Night

Saturday, April 11, at 8PM the Plaza Playhouse Theater will be hosting another night of their popular "Underground Comedy Night" series, this time featuring pur most accomplished group of performers yet.

The lineup will feature Dave Waite, Jen Murphy, Allan Strickland Williams and returning host David Sharp, all professional stand-ups in the southern California region that are currently breaking into the main stream. The comics have seen their work appear on networks like ABC, NBC, and Comedy Central, and on programs that are known and respected in the comedy community like Last Comic Standing and Conan. "I can't wait," said Murphy, a Last Comic veteran that's also appeared on Comics Unleashed, This Is Why You're Single, and been overseas to entertain the troops, "Hilarity ensues!"

All ages are welcome but the show will feature mature language and themes, so parents and guardians are not encouraged to bring children and to use their own discretion with teens.

Seating is limited. Tickets are $20 general admission and are available online at Seastrand (919 Linden Ave., with cash or check only) and at the theater's box office one hour prior to showtime. The Plaza Playhouse Theater is at 4916 Carpinteria Ave. and is ADA compatible and wheelchair accessible. There is plenty of free parking near the venue.
