The Chambers Family Band

The Old Feed Store is excited to present a great evening of bluegrass music with Dakota Cummins and The Chambers Family!

A family band from Kansas City, Mo., The Chambers Family has been performing since 1999. All five Chambers' children played. Now, in our 14th year, Dominic, Sophie and John have crafted their sound, a mix of bluegrass and newgrass, of classical and traditional.

We began with old-time bluegrass -- Millionaire's Hoedown, Old Joe Clark and Orange Blossom Special. We played the family stage at Winfield, and played the State Fair Touchstone Energy Stage in the early days, as the kids competed in the fiddle and guitar competitions. ChamberMusic took No. 1 spot in the Clay County Has Talent Fest in 2011, won the New Musician Showcase in Liberty, MO, in 2008. We've played a side stage at Starlight Theater in Kansas City. We've traveled to Phoenix and Montgomery to play shows. We were honored to be one of 20 bands nationwide invited to compete in the Youth in Bluegrass at Silver Dollar City 2013 and 2014, and one of 10 bands nationwide selected to play the youth stage at IBMA, Raleigh, NC.
