Vienne Barrel Aged Biere de Mars Beer Release
DESCRIPTION:
Council Brewing is proud to announce our fourth barrel aged bottle release, Vienne - a French style Biere de Mars. Made for a rainy day in San Diego, as rare as that may be, so too is the often overlooked French style of Biere de Mars because of its nuanced flavors. Holding true to style, Vienne was brewed in the late fall and aged in barrels until ready for consumption in March. The complex yet subtle flavor profile leads with sweet caramel malt and an earthy oak character.As the beer warms, notes of ripe peach and persimmon bloom. A mild acidity leaves the finish dry and crisp. With age, the balance of all these flavors will shift due to the addition of Brettanomyces and lactobacillus. The name Vienne was chosen to pay tribute to the French Council of Vienne held in the 14th century.
Please note, this is a limited release of only 779 Bottles.
BOTTLE PURCHASE DETAILS:
Beginning on Thursday, March 19 2015 at 2 PM, you will be able to purchase (6) tickets for bottles of Vienne. Beautifully packaged in a Belgian 750 ml with a cork and cap to accommodate high carbonation and extended aging of the beer.
BOTTLE PICK UP DATES - MARCH 26 - APRIL 25. Bottles not picked up by April 25 will be surrendered back to Council Brewing Co. No exceptions.
RELEASE PARTY:
We will be hosting a release party on Thursday March 26, 2015 throughout the entire day (2pm-9PM). Your ticket allows you to pick up your bottle(s) beginning March 26, 2015 through Saturday, April 25, 2015 during regular Tasting Room Hours (see www.councilbrew.com for tasting room hours). We will have a 1/2 barrel keg of Vienne on tap that day and the following days until the keg kicks. (Tasters of draft Vienne are sold separately and not included in purchase price of tickets/bottles.)
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
Please use your name when purchasing the bottles. Only you may pick up the bottles. PROXIES are NOT allowed. You may not purchase bottles under another person's name. To retrieve your bottles, you will be required to show your proof of purchase (your "Brown Paper Tickets" ticket or will call) and valid ID valid ID for the purchase of alcohol and to ensure your name matches to your bottle purchase.
REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES:
Please note that we will not issue refunds, exchanges, or returns. All sales are final.
SHIPPING:
Council Brewing will not ship the bottles. Bottles must be retrieved at the tasting room during regular tasting room hours.
