The Observatory
"DO NOT MISS this show!" - Chicago Stage Review
"Compelling... unexpected twists!" - Centerstage Chicago
David and Sally Lockwood are an average couple given an offer they cannot refuse: for a fat paycheck, they agree to have an Observatory installed in their home. All David has to do is watch the hologram of a suspected terrorist broadcast into his home for a year. However, when the suspect turns out to be a beautiful female journalist, things get complicated quickly. As David and Sally's marriage begins to buckle under the strain of a virtual but permanent houseguest, David begins to identify a bit too closely with his isolated captive.
Playwright/director Vincent Truman (Suspicious Clowns, "The Tearful Assassin", "Remote") brings to the stage a stunning and darkly humorous picture of post-911 America, the home of the brave and the land of the suspected.
Colin Fewell, Kate Lane and Kasey O'Brien turn in stellar performances as the stars of this world premiere drama. "The Observatory" also features Kyle Waddle, Joelle Weber and Joseph Sultani.
Expert direction by Angela Jo Strohm and Vincent Truman. Sound and vision by Drew Cohen.
