Black Peter
Black Peter, written by Pat Quigley, and directed by Jacquelyn Honeybourne, is a musical comedy first produced at Venture theatre in De Pere, Wisconsin. In part, a dark and satirical homage to the Rankin and Bass Christmas specials of the 1960's, like "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer," and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," Black Peter follows the Rankin and Bass formula to create a back story for the mythical holiday figure of Black Peter, keeper of Saint Nick's naughty list.
FEATURING: Kurt Fitzpatrick as Kris Kringle, Kelly King as Mrs. Kringle, Alena Acker as Margarita Cervantes, Greg Couba as Jack Frost, and Hanlon Smith Dorsey as Black Peter. Musical composition by Kevin MacLeod. Bryan Teoh on the cello and Rachel Beeman designing puppets, costumes, and make-up.
