"Dancing on Fallon"
"Dancing on Fallon" calls attention to the 40 year legacy of Dance at Laney College on Fallon Street. Spanning the years 1970-2010, this two day celebration will pay homage to and recognize Dance at Laney's extensive accomplishments and contributions to dance education, the performing arts and humanities. The two day production will give a retrospective of dance at Laney in the first 20 years on November 19th, and a new generation of choreographers committed to the expresive beauty of movements to convey messages of time in transition on November 20th to complete the 2nd 20 years. These works will incorporate music, theater, spoken word, and visuals to create a dimension of sound and effects the audience will find entriguing and entertaining.
