CLEAN READING:: 'Manhaven School for Boys' (a comedic romp in a 1970's small town, America -- where men are men and women make dinner).
Penned by Annika P. Smith & Steven Vivell --the first feature in a trilogy of gender war scripts.
"After his father dies in a tragic mooning accident, an earnest teenager enrolls in Manhaven Academy for Boys, to follow in his manly footsteps. He sets out to win The Man Games, the ultimate trial of masculinity, like his father did seventeen years ago. But when his brainy sister threatens to turn the school co-ed, and focus the curriculum on actual academics, he'll have to decide how far he'll go to prove his manhood."

Arts collective Imaginese Productions, is forging forward on it's newest ongoing series -- Clean Readings, which provide a unique opportunity for the company's writers and the LA community at large to mingle, refine, and cast feature length scripts. They are read aloud for engaged audiences.
Exploring creative spaces in LA, Imaginese provides a service to these spaces by cleaning, organizing or improving the donated space. After making it better, we read, empower a writer's new work, and open up opportunities for further development by our strong community network.

This evening is fueled by a delicious potluck, with contributions crafted by gourmet baker Essence Brown, bringing edible delights to the audience and creative team.
This Clean Reading is a special Imaginese Celebration, as the company turns four years old, and revels in how far we've come.

This event will also SCREEN short film 'WHITE BARBER' an Imaginese and Zambo Film collaboration. Written by Annika P. Smith and starring: Christopher Hampton, Chris Bostrom, Eric Trules, Steven Vivell, Trevor Davis and Anthony Walker.
