TONEY ROCKS turns the amp up to 10 and breaks out the progressive blues influenced rock! This show features TONEY's dynamic vocal and guitar performance with the support of epic, hard hitting prerecorded backing tracks from TONEY's independent releases. Mentored by American folk hero, David Bromberg, Toney is considered an epitome of the do-it-yourself musician. Toney personally records all the music featured in his solo shows and albums. "David (Bromberg), my mentor, alway tells me to 'strip it down and work as much as you can'. But really, me going solo and doing-it-myself came out of necessity." Toney explains. "After trying desperately to get other musicians to understand and commit to the musical vision in my head, I figured I'd just do it myself. That way there's far less compromise. David's advice really just gave me more confidence that I can put the TONEY brand on my back and carry it."
Since 2012, Toney has gained international press and radio play. In support of his current and upcoming album, Toney is performing dates in the mid-Atlantic region as he gears up for a solo US tour kicking off this Fall starting on the west coast.
