Write Your Life Workshop
Everything in your life, from the mundane to the extraordinary, is a story waiting to be told. This workshop is an invitation for you to discover your own unique and powerful story. Michel de Montaigne, the great personal essayist, said, "Every man has within himself the entire human condition." The intention of this workshop is for you to delve deep into your own personal narrative.
Writing from your deepest source, you will gain insight and self-understanding. You will then make your words leap from the page to the stage, sharing them orally to uncover the power of story to transform your life and your listeners.
Through improvisation, writing exercises, and group discussion, you will find your authentic voice, along with an honest, organic way to express your truth. Award winning writer/performer Ann Randolph creates a supportive, fun, and dynamic space to create. All levels are welcome. This is a workshop for those seeking to explore personal essay, memoir, solo performance, or the sacred practice of journaling.

Widely considered one of the most gifted and innovative writer-performers in the country, Randolph has been hailed by critics as "revolutionary, Whitmanesque, and a tour de-force." Randolph was just voted "Best Solo Performer in San Francisco 2010" for her new show, "Loveland." Her previous solo show, "Squeeze Box," was the Winner of LA Weekly's "Best Solo Show" and Los Angeles Times Ovation Award for "Best Solo Performer". Mel Brooks and the late Anne Bancroft produced Randolph's "Squeeze Box" Off Broadway for a 6-month run and then an international tour. Her personal essays have aired on NPR, Weekend America and the BBC. Randolph teaches and tours extensively throughout the country.
