Sandy Bainum in It Might Be Fun
Broadway and musical theatre's Sandy Bainum returns to Sterling's Upstairs at The Federal for her third headlining engagement; this time with an all new act based on her latest CD "It Might Be Fun" recorded for Kritzerland Records and produced and written by Kritzerland's Grammy-nominated Bruce Kimmel. The CD is the third such project between the dynamic duo.
Whether on the stage, in concert, or on record, Sandy Bainum has been lauded for having a voice that not only sits lovingly on the music, but an ability to infuse a lyric with warmth, care, love and humor. In short, Sandy takes you on a journey that runs the gamut of emotion.
A highlight of the new CD is the premiere recording of "Two Roads," written by Kimmel with Disney's Academy Award winning composer Richard M. Sherman of The Sherman Brothers.
The album was recorded in Los Angeles at Hollywood's legendary Capitol Studios (Studio A) with a 35-piece orchestra. It was arranged, orchestrated and conducted by Bainum's award-winning musical director Lanny Meyers.
