Racham - A True Fairytale, presented by Ballet 5:8 School of the Arts
This year's performances are made possible by Joint Pro Physical Therapy and Cakewalk Chicago.
Once upon a time, in the beautiful Kingdom of Dicayo, the King Eli and Queen Alma celebrate the birth of their long-awaited second child. Raised in the comfort and privilege of the royal kingdom, the princesses Anne and Alice want for nothing. Princess Alice exemplifies contentment, but Princess Anne is haunted by her own curiosity - What could be beyond the walls of her Father's kingdom?
This May, join a cast of over 100 students in Ballet 5:8 School of the Arts pre-professional training programs for an incredible journey in a fairytale world where a princess leaves the safety of the home provided by her father, the good, wise King, to explore what lies outside. An original full-length classical ballet in two acts with original choreography by Ballet 5:8 Artistic Director Julianna Slager and stunning handmade costumes and sets, Racham, a True Fairytale tells a poignant story about a father's deep love.
"Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends." -John 15:13
