Save The Waves Film Festival on November 12 features "180 South" and "Transparent Sea Voyage" in San Francisco, with live music by MY PEOPLES:

*** General admission ($20) and VIP tickets ($50) are now on sale ***

VIP Admission includes: an original letterpress print (12"x18") of the film festival art poster by Brooklyn artist Mike Houston, 2 free drinks at the festival bar, reserved seating until 7:30PM, and a VIP Patagonia goodie bag stuffed with gifts from Save The Waves, Clif Bar, Zola & more.

Save The Waves Coalition is proud to present Save The Waves Film Festival on Friday, November 12, at the historic Victoria Theatre in San Francisco. This second-annual festival is back by popular demand and features an evening of inspiring environmental films, adventure films and surf films. The evening kicks off with live music by local San Francisco superstars My Peoples, (formerly Kapakahi) and a party to benefit Save The Waves.

Save The Waves Film Festival features the US premiere of Australian surfer Dave Rastovich's newest film, "Transparent Sea." The festival also features a special screening of 180˚ South.

SAVE THE WAVES FILM FESTIVAL FEATURES THESE SHORTS & FEATURES:  

180˚ SOUTH - a dirt bag activist adventure by Chris Malloy
TRANSPARENT SEA VOYAGE - an ocean voyage & surf film with Dave Rastovich
CHASING THE SWELL - a Mavericks big wave investigation by Sachi Cunningham
DARK SIDE OF THE LENSE - an Irish deep water heart-stopper by Mickey Smith
LAPSED CATHOLICS - simple truths that the surf magazines don't talk about
STANDING - Chile tsunami relief for & by local surfers

...AND OTHER SHORT FILMS FEATURING LOCAL SAVE THE WAVES SURFER ACTIVISTS. Total runtime is 8pm - 11pm including intermission. Doors open at 7pm.  

This event is 21 and over only please, a cash bar will be open for service.

Save The Waves Film Festival is presented by Clif Bar, Honolua and Jim Beam. Zola Acai, Patagonia, My Peoples, Cannonball Press, Ocean Vodka, and 21st Amendment Brewery also generously support the film festival.
