Lou Spence (Clara Bow) is just an average girl making her way through life working as a shop-girl at
the Waltham Department Store. However Betty Lou and her friends want more, they want to meet a
man whoâs got âItâ. She sets her sights on her boss, and owner of the department store, Mr. Cyrus
Waltham⦠a man who certainly has âitâ. The only problem is that Cyrus doesnât know she exists.
Being the determined young gal that she is Betty Lou puts a plan into motion involving a dinner date
with Cyprus' good friend Monty. Her plan works, but not necessarily to her advantage as everything
starts to go wrong! This charming romantic comedy really propelled Clara Bow to super-stardom,
solidifying her image as the personification of the Roaring Twenties.
