Please join us on March 15th at the Theater Puget Sound, in Theatre 4 for an intimate afternoon of question and answer with burlesque legend Suzzette Monique. Audience members are encouraged to ask thoughtful questions at the end of the talk. The session will begin at 4:00 pm.
About Suzzette Monique In 1969 while working as a door girl in at a disco in Vancouver called the Kiki Rouge, Suzzette Monique was asked to attend a go-go audition for the position of a masked "mystery dancer" at Tommy Chong's nightclub, The Shanghai Junk. Even though she was very young, Tommy and his father liked what they saw in her talent. She got the job and started her dance career on July 1st. She then partnered up with tap dance entertainer "Taps" Harris and as they toured, Suzzette picked up skills at clubs along the way and evolved into a respected burlesque dancer and costumer. Known as "The Queen of Theme", Suzzette designed costumes for herself and many of her contemporaries, touring and performing at top clubs all over the USA. Returning to Canada, Suzzette opened her own "School for Exotics", a talent booking agency and then her dream nightclub "Suzy Q's" in Edmonton, AB; the region she now calls home.
