MIXED NUTS
Mixed Nuts is an uproarious and uplifting comedy that follows the adventures of Michael Caldwell, who flees his predictable and sheltered life in the Midwest to move to New York City in a quest to become a prominent writer. A series of hilarious encounters unfolds as he befriends several unconventional residents of the dilapidated apartment house that he moves into. Among them are a commercial actor who specializes in portraying inanimate objects, a Russian ballerina on the lam from the KGB and a wisecracking, beautiful actress. Mixed Nuts explores the conflict between the inner voices of doubt and the aspirations of the heart. This witty production, authored by Nancy Manera and Simon J. Donoghue, will delight audiences with its laugh-out-loud humor.
Mixed Nuts is Directed by Susan Arnold who's directorial credits include Shining City, Last of the Boys, Dinner with Friends, and Stones in His Pockets with Beowulf Alley. She also serves as Artistic Director for Clean and Sober Theatre in Tucson.
