RAINBOW DANCE THEATRE & Arts Education Night
Rainbow Dance Theatre repertory features modern works with roots in the traditions of many world cultures. These include Hip Hop, Salsa, Hawaiian Dance and West African Dance and Drumming. Combined with innovative aerial choreography, visually stunning interactive sets and full-stage 3-D backdrops, the distinctive choreography of artistic directors Darryl Thomas and Valerie Bergman creates an exotic feast for the senses.
The evening opens with a performance by local students in a celebration of Arts Education. Methow Valley Elementary students will open the show with their own dance and African drumming performance they have made in their classrooms through the Methow Arts Education Residency program. Rainbow Dance theatre will also be touring six schools in Okanogan County through the Methow Arts arts education partnership.
