Introductory Welding Techniques with John Williams
This course seeks to familiarize the novice welder with techniques most applicable to maker practices and cover basic vocabulary and safety precautions. It will be dedicated to mild steel only. More advanced classes will cover stainless, aluminum and other non ferrous metals. Participants may bring project samples or specific project ideas with them for inquiries regarding welding techniques.
Notes: Participants are encouraged to bring their own safety glasses and light weight full leather gloves. A welders cap or bandana can be helpful as well. Long sleeved shirts and pants as well as closed toed shoes are required. Shirt and pants must be free of holes,frays or tears. Frayed clothes are a fire hazard.
Members only. Open to ages 16+ -- minors must be supervised by a parent or guardian.
