PRODIGY PIANIST JERRY CHEN

A true prodigy with multiple awards, and only 17 years old, Jerry has performed in Italy, Brazil, Russia, Mongolia, China and Argentina. The Music Festival is honored to have Jerry perform for our audience. A link to Jerry's music is available on our Facebook page.

Jerry has recently returned to the United States after being awarded the title of "First Place International Winner" in the Valdisotto International Piano Competition in Italy. Judged by a panel of 9 adjudicators from Brazil, Italy, Russia and the United States, Jerry won "First Place" not only in the High School/Collegiate solo division but also in the High School/Collegiate Duet division (with his partner, his brother Jimmy Chen). Students who competed in this competition were from Russia, China, Italy and the United States.

Following his international recognition, Jerry received a personal invitation to perform a solo concert in Caldarola, Italy. Jerry traveled to Caldarola (summer 2014) and performed in one of the most sought-after venues in Europe, where the BBC does their tapings. Response to his concert was so overwhelming that he was asked to return in 2015.
