TTC's Cabaret Workshop and Performance
Whether you are preparing for a performance in musical theater, a concert, recital, wedding or cabaret, learn how to present a song and deliver your best performance. Emphasis will be on phrasing, vocal style, stage presence, song selection and interpretation. Focusing on the lyric's emotions in a verse/chorus/bridge/structure, you will discover how to put your "personal stamp" on your performance.
For the workshop, please bring sheet music and/or your music portofolio. You will be able to work on two songs - preferably one up-tempo and one ballad. To receive the full benefit of this workshop bringing a recording device is suggested. Audition session on Saturday, October 16 at 3pm. Tech Rehearsal session on Friday, October 22 at 7pm. Dress Rehearsal session on Saturday, October 23 at 6pm. Performance follows Dress Rehearsal at 8pm. Cost of participating in the workshop is $25 per participant.
Performance is Saturday, October 23 at 8pm and open to the public. Tickets are $10 per person. Presented as part of The Theater Company's Cabaret Series.
