PLOP! Nights presents THE PUPPETRY OF DAN LUCE
After its debut to sold-out audiences in May 2010, The Puppetry of Dan Luce returns to PLOP! Nights.
Through masterful manipulation of handcrafted marionettes, hybrid string puppets, shadows and projected imagery, Dan Luce conjures a realm both alien and parallel to our own. His visually stunning, mechanically sophisticated puppets invoke a profound sensitivity as they traverse universal struggles, striving toward the beauty of it all.
PLOP!, which stands for Performance Laboratory for Objects and Puppets, is a new puppetry center dedicated to fostering experimental and innovative Puppet Theatre.
PLOP! Nights is a live performance series for adults, presented nearly every month at Northern in downtown Olympia, WA.
PLOP! is an associated program of Shunpike.
