St. Patrick's Day Dinner Show at The Burren (Backroom)

Celebrate this St. Patricks Day with The Burren. This year we have a special St. Patricks Irish variety show in The Burren Backroom with traditional tunes, ballads, stories & dancing, featuring Tommy McCarthy, Louise Costello & Robert Elliot along with special guests.

The show includes a traditional Irish meal of Corned Beef & Cabbage or Guinness Beef Stew with Soda Bread (a vegetarian option is also available), followed by Burren Shamrock Cake.

Tommy McCarthy and Louise Costello are traditional Irish musicians who have performed with many of the trad genre's elite including: The Chieftains, Michael Flatley, Sharon Shannon and many more. Last year, they released their acclaimed album "Grace Bay" a collection of original compositions & traditional favorites. They are also owners of the Burren, which, since its opening in 1996, is considered the premiere venue for for traditional music in the U.S. There are few contemporary musicians who have not performed at The Burren.

Along with WGBH Host of A Celtic Sojourn, Brian ODonovan, they created the very successful "Burren Backroom Series", which routinely plays to a sold out audience. Building the success of the series, they have released an album, of the same name, featuring the best performances of the series.

The Burren has received numerous awards for Best Irish Bar, it is one of the only bars in the Boston area that has live traditional music almost every night.
