BEYOND GHOSTS: Afternoon of Folklore & Legends

March 14, 2015 - "An Afternoon of Folklore and Legends, at the Historic Van Horn Mansion," is part of the new Beyond Ghosts LLC featured speaker series, and looks to connect area enthusiasts with qualified experts on fantastic subjects!

(The host location on March 14th is the fabled Van Horn Mansion in Burt, NY, a reputedly "haunted house" said to be home to a number of former mansion residents from as far back as 1830)

Activities for the day include a guided tour of the building with interpretive staff, a tour of the restored carriage house and grounds (including the gravesite of Melinda Van Horn), light refreshments, and exciting door prizes. Plus presentations by our guest speakers including Guest of Honor, Author, Folklorist & Supernatural Historian Mason Winfield, who will be speaking about Celtic American Folklore in Western New York (March 15 is during St. Patrick's Day Weekend), and Buffalo area Paranormal Researcher Joseph Pieri who will be speaking about a number of "ghosts" and perceived haunts throughout the Niagara Region.

This event is family friendly, and is appropriate for children over twelve (at the parent's discretion of course).

No refunds or exchanges on event tickets. All sales final. A rescheduled date will be made available in the unlikely event the ghost hunt is postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
