Guns and Roses: Songs of War n' Peace
Rock, popular songs, and classic repertoire to honor the love and loss of war.
The Lesbian/Gay Chorus of San Francisco (LGCSF) proudly presents "Guns and Roses: Songs of War n' Peace" at the First Congregational Church of San Francisco on Saturday, April 18th at 7:30 pm and Sunday, April 19th at 3:00 pm.
Join LGCSF as we continue celebrating our 35th Anniversary year with this groundbreaking concert featuring works by hard rockers Guns n' Roses, English composer Ralph Vaughan Williams, the iconic John Lennon, Grammy-winning American composer Eric Whitacre, 17 year old choral composer Christopher Enloe, and more.
William Sauerland, Artistic and Music Director, leads LGCSF through diverse and captivating repertoire as Assistant Music Director Paul McCurdy accompanies on piano. Special guests include The Advanced Vocal Ensemble of Lick-Wilmerding High School.
The nation's oldest self-identified LGBT mixed chorus, the Lesbian/Gay Chorus of San Francisco is dedicated to building and enriching the Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender (LGBT) community through song and a love of music.
The Lesbian/Gay Chorus of San Francisco is supported in part by the San Francisco Grants for the Arts/SF Hotel Tax Fund and is a member of GALA Choruses (Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses, Inc.), the leading association committed to serving the LGBT choral movement.
