Tribute to Billie Holiday and Harry "Sweets" Edison
Vocalist Morning Nichols and trumpeter John Worley pay tribute to a pair of the most recognized and revered musicians in Jazz - vocalist Billie Holiday and trumpeter Harry "Sweets" Edison. They've assembled an all star group featuring: guitarist Jim Nichols, saxophonist Charlie Keagle, bassist John Shiflitt and drummer Jason Lewis. Morning and John will set the mood by featuring songs such as "What A Little Moonlight Can Do", "Good Morning Heartache", "Day In, Day Out", tunes from the Great American Songbook and originals penned by John that capture the essence of 42nd St, New York City. They will transport you to the intersection of Swing and Be Bop. Be prepared to snap your fingers on two and four, move your feet and be swung like the cats did to their fans in the 40's and 50's. You won't want to miss this concert - dedicated to bringing to life the music of these beloved musical icons.
