UN-DOING
UnDoing embarks on a journey into the inner landscape of the Palestine and Israel conflict from the visions of an outsider and insider. Choreographer Megan Curet creates a performance installation in collaboration with film maker and photographer Daniel Fainberg to exhibit an attempt of undoing medias impression and drawing a focus on the actual human experience. As the show progresses we travel with the performers through dance in an exhibition setting with photos and film projected and also exhibited throughout the space. Each playing an equal part of the show's connection to both worlds.
Curet Performance Project is one of the youngest emerging dance companies on the New York City dance scene. Coming out of their second year together and season at Triskelion Arts in Brooklyn, they are primarily known for creating and performing provocative works that inspire and entice. In UnDoing there is a specific, strive to bring light on all the elements of the human being experience in times of conflict. Using dance and media to come to one conclusion, what about the people, what about what matters for them, and what about what they are experiencing.
