Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
The Laboratory Theater of Florida season begins with WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?, Edward Albee's classic play which was made into a movie starring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. The play examines the lies we tell ourselves in order to make life more palatable. Fueled by bourbon and gin, the four characters hilariously expose their own failures and engage in vicious truth-telling about one another..... The result? A new dawn, a new lease on life, a chance to start over without any illusions. You've never laughed as hard as you will while watching WHO'S AFRAID!
The cast is full of extremely talented local favorites! Starring the Downtown Diva herself - Stephanie Davis as Martha, Scott Carpenter as George, Nykkie Rizley Ptaszek as Honey the Bunny, and Doug Landin as Nick. Directed by Artistic Director Annette Trossbach, a 2010 Gulfshore Business "40 Under 40" winner.
