Censored On Final Approach by Phylis Ravel
Infinite Variety Productions, a 501(c)3 NYC theatre company, has joined with The American Airpower Museum at Republic Airport, to tell the story of the more than 1,000 women who served their country as Women Airforce Service Pilots during WWII.
"Censored on Final Approach" by Phylis Ravel is the story of four WASP (Women Air Force Service Pilots), a group of roughly one thousand women hired by the United States Army Air Force during WWII to fly military aircraft and tow targets for live anti-aircraft artillery practice, thereby freeing male pilots for combat missions.
With the backdrop of an actual WWII hangar and scenery composed of actual WWII planes, let yourself be transported to a time of war, bravery and history in the making.
The museum will be open before the performance. Come early and enhance your viewing of the show by gaining special insight on American wars and aviation through the exhibits, take a photo of yourself inside one of the planes, or meet the cast of "Censored on Final Approach".
Show Dates: May 8th - show at 8pm, Museum opens at 6pm May 9th - show at 8pm, Museum opens at 6pm
"Censored on Final Approach" is a story of strength, courage, identity, and the close-knit friendships formed during a very important period in American history.
