PASA to Produce Award Winning New Musical
San Antonio, Texas February 21, 2015 - Performing Arts San Antonio (PASA) is pleased to announce that they are producing another Texas Premiere of an amazing new musical. The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen, which is the story that Disney's "Frozen" was based on, was developed in California at The San Jose Repertory Theatre.
An Award Winning Musical at the New York Music Festival, the music is by Haddon Kime, with lyrics by Kirsten Brandt, Haddon Kime and Rick Lombardo. Book is by Kirsten Brandt and Rick Lombardo. A coming of age adventure featuring kooky characters, scary plotting, and potent rock numbers make this an unforgettable production.
The cast includes Ashlyn McCain as Gerda, Aaron Nedrick as Kai, and Amanda Garza as The Snow Queen. Other cast members play multiple parts, with Trent O'Neal playing The Crow, The River, Tiger Lyle, A Robber, Iyana Colby as The Grandmother, Garden Witch, Lady Crow, and Robber Girl's Mother, Luis Robert Garza as The Troll, The Prince, The Reindeer, and The Poppy, Monie Perez as The Rose, The Princess, and The Robber Girl, Diana Rodriguez as The Narcissus, The Pigeon, and Ensemble, and Makayla Rodriguez as The Daisy, The Pigeon, The Woman of the North, and Ensemble.
Showtimes for the Snow Queen are March 13, 14, 20,21, 27 and 28 at 8PM. March 15, 22 and 29 at 3PM.
