Freedom Train
Riders board the train in San Jose at Diridon Station to pick up CalTrain tickets for round trip.
You will on your way for a peaceful journey with stops in Sunnyvale, Palo Alto, San Mateo and arrives in San Francisco. Once in San Francisco riders then participate in information sessions about the Civil Rights era.
Purchased ticket is for a round trip on any southbound train after 1:00 pm.

Question: can we board the train at any stop (i.e. san mateo)?
Answer: Yes you can board the train in San Mateo. The train will depart at 10:22 am.
 
Question: Hello Ms. Carter-Cox, It it Sunday, Jan. 16, daybefore the event. Is there still time to purchase tickets for the Freedom Train event tomorrow through brownpapertickets or some other means -- e.g. in person?
Answer: You will be able to purchase tickets on Brown Paper Tickets untill 6pm. We will also be able to purchase tickets the day of event at the Diridon Station (65 Cahill) in San Jose.
 
Question: Hello, do children need tickets for the ride?
Answer: Yes, you will need tickets for each child boarding the train.
