The cast uses improvisational acting techniques to perform spontaneously. Audience suggestions are used to guide the performance as the actors create dialogue, setting, and plot extemporaneously.

The variety format made its way from Victorian era stage to radio to television. Variety shows were a staple of television from its early days into the 1970s. In several parts of the world, variety TV remains popular and widespread.

The Complete Theatre Company is bringing the variety show back and in a big way.
